About the Doctors

Dr. Michael Czubiak

Dr. Michael Czubiak is pleased to have Dr. Shapiro and Dr. Pezeshki join the Camarillo Smiles team. Having started the practice in 1989, the practice continues to grow through the kindness and trust of our loyal patients.

Dr. Czubiak grew up in the San Fernando Valley. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in psychobiology from UCLA.  He then continued his education at the UCLA School of Dentistry graduating in 1988. As a life-long student and self-proclaimed dental geek, he has amassed 1000’s of hours of advanced training in all areas of dentistry.
 
Besides creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Czubiak lectures around the country to other dentists teaching them  how to be better at what they do. This allows him to combine two of his loves- helping others and traveling.
 
Dr. Czubiak enjoys his three kids with his wife Mindy. Together they like to scuba dive, snow board, play tennis, travel and do just about anything that involves the arts. He continues to play in a band, make short films, take photographs and be creative.

Dr. Beata Pezeshki 

Dr. Beata Pezeshki received her Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience from the University of California Los Angeles.  She then continued her education at the UCLA School of Dentistry where she graduated with high honors and received her DDS.  She is also an accomplished and published researcher and active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Western Dental Society and Beverly Hills Multidisciplinary Study Group. She continues to be active in organized dentistry in Los Angeles.

 
Dr. Pezeshki’s reputation for her exceptional kindness in guiding anxious patients is well known. In addition, her emphasis on clear communication empowers patients to make informed decisions and be an active partner in the treatment plan.
 
Beyond academic and clinical experience and expertise, Dr. Pezeshki is a California native who enjoys taking advantage of all the outdoor activities California brings. She enjoys hiking, playing the violin and spending quality time with her family.

Dr. Eric D. Shapiro 

We would like to welcome Dr. Eric D. Shapiro to our family at Camarillo Smiles.  Dr. Shapiro comes to us with over 23 years of experience in the field of dentistry and still maintains his general and cosmetic dental practice in Encino.

Dr. Shapiro completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychobiology with Dr. Czubiak in 1984 at UCLA. He then went on to Georgetown University Dental School in Washington, DC, graduating Summa Cum Laude at the top of his class in 1988.  He is a member of the National Dental Honors Society and was the only student in his class to receive the Clinical Diligence Award. Since graduating from Georgetown University Dental School, Dr. Shapiro has completed many postdoctorate courses in Cosmetic Dentistry, Implant Dentistry and Invisalign Orthodontics to name a few.

Dr. Shapiro and his wife Ashli live in Newbury Park and love spending quality time with their four children. He also enjoys his volunteer work with the two YMCA's in the Conejo Valley and just recently was the head of the Conejo Valley Indian Guides and Princesses program.  Dr. Shapiro's interests include music, ocean fishing, horses and classic cars.
